Reichert 2040 Microtome

Reichert 2040 Microtome is a universal multirange, ergonomically designed microtome with stable and precise microfeed system for sectioning paraffin and plastic. Automatic electric specimen retraction in return stroke protects knife and specimen from damage and gives improved ribbons in serial sectioning. Specimen feed adjustable from 0.5 to 60u. Roller bearing guideway provides easier handwheel movement. Motor driven course feed speeds up initial trimming. Two speeds available, 70u/sec. and 700u/sec. Backlighting with complete range of specimen and knife holders optionally available. Optical equipment for quality control of sections. Motorized course advance of specimen cylinder. Automatic course feed system is motor driven and multiadjustable in section thickness of 5/10/15u for plastic blocks or 50/100/150u for wax sectioning. This unit has a section counter with reset, low sectioning level, side arm rest and  easy manipulation of all knobs and controls for last precision section. Complete with knife holder base, heavy-duty knife holder, X/Y orientation adapter and fixed jaw object clamp.
